This beautiful traditional villa is located in the first settlement of the village Petrokefali which according to historical sources dates back to 1570. The house is the largest of the settlement and it was renovated with great care by Georgiladakis family with dedication to traditional architecture and culture. The house retains all its architectural elements from the beginning of its construction. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people.
The house consists of two buildings that are essentially joined by two circular doors. The house has traditional wooden floor, with wooden beams, five bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room and winter room with large stone fireplace. It has air-conditioning in almost every room, water cooler, flat screen TV and Wifi network.
The house has a lovely courtyard with trees and flowers. All bedrooms have balconies with endless view of Messara plain, Phaistos and Psiloritis, northeast the Lassithi Mountains and south of Asterousia mountains. The lower part of the house is older than the upper. An inscription was found probably a prayer in Arabic. The wider settlement has a fortress design to prevent raids. It is located in the most airy and highest position of the village, as a result of which it is bathed with the first warm sunlight of dawn.
